lyrics
You stand by the door, a phrase leaves your lips. Your body is frozen stiff. A heart hits the floor, your tears undeserved. Wasted time and words. There's never a way, you cannot repay, and you can't make me stay. I wasn't built for this. There is no flawed design. I think it's about time to ride out. I'm not young and new, didn't matter to you. A child in my arms. We opened a door, and now for a whore. You crush it like this. You explain an attempt to remedy or subside. Contempt for you resides within me. You should live with the shame and bare all the weight. But I can't bare to try what you feel is fair game. I'm not that way. The answers are suicide. We say our goodbyes. A kiss on the cheek. A group of men wait outside. They approach in a way we deny we are gay and then we suffocate. There's no more air to survive. They'll bury us alive. There's no more air.
Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
